The lesson will begin with an evaluation of your basic knowledge about the instrument, so that I can gauge your skill level. Then we'll move on to basic instrument methodology and an introduction to reading music.

Learning an instrument can help you become more confident and reduce stress. Studies have even found that students who learn an instrument tend to do better on tests than non-musicians.
What a typical lesson looks like
We will spend the first part of the lesson reviewing book work and theory, and during the second part we will work on learning the music of your choice. I will also give you a few exercises out of the book to practice over the week. Students can view their practice material here.
The time we spend on each part of the lesson depends on the needs of each student.
